Although I'm mopstly a semi-auto guy, I got a bit of a revolver bug, so I picked up the Charter Arms Undercover. It's in .38 Special with a 2 inch barrel. I wanted it for concealed carry in the summertime, which requires something a little smaller than my M&P 9C or my PX-4 Storm.

This model has the shrouded hammer, which reduces the chances of it snagging on  clothing. I carry it with some jacketed hollow point +P rounds for a little extra stopping power. With the factory rubber grips, recoil is very manageable, even with the +P loads.

What's a good carry gun without a good holster? I ordered a Side Guard Minimal Clip and I couldn't be happier. It's a nice tight fit and the quality of the craftsmanship is excellent. But that's not a surprise -- I own two other SG holsters! Erik delivers excellent quality at a reasonable price!

I wanted to dress my Undercover up a bit, so I got some custom rosewood grips from Altamont Company. They're a bit larger than the factory rubber grips (about the same size as the CA Full Size Combat Grips), but they have a nice feel. They definitely add some bulk when carrying, but they look very nice. Excellent quality work! The last picture shows the addtional length the wood grips add compared to the factory rubber grips.
