I've gone over to the Dark Side....I bought an AK 47! I bought it from Lancaster Arms. It's primarily a Romanian kit, but I got the tactical model with the 6-position collapsible stock and the synthetic furniture. I also installed an AK Concepts extended magazine release lever and a DNTC compensator to replace the standard slant brake.

No gun is complete with out magazines! I bought a package of 12 used AK mags. They came packed in cosmoline. Among them I had (from left to right): Serbian, Egyptian, Eastern European, Chinese and Yugoslavian (2). The Yugo's are "bolt hold open" (BHO) mags that keep the AK bolt open when the last round is fired (just like an AR or autloading pistol). I did some mods to the other mags and with some new followers, they will all function as BHO's.

Lancaster with Wood
After I finished the Saiga conversion, I decided I really didn't need two tactical rifles. So I found a really good deal on some Eastern European laminated wood furniture and installed it on the Lancaster. I kept the SAW-style pistol grip. All in all, I like the look and the wood furniture is really nice!
