Where to Get Conversion Parts

One of the hardest things about doing the conversion is tracking down all the required parts. Personally, I hate paying ridiculous shipping prices so I always look for the chance to combine purchases.

Below are listed some of the companies I have used. They are provided for information only - caveat emptor always applies.

JSE Surplus
A very nice little family business. I have always had great service and fast delivery. Shipping is reasonable (usually around $5). They also have the best prices I have found on TAPCO products, including the G2 FCG and TAPCO stocks and handguards. They do not carry the Saiga-specific Galil handguard.

Midway USA
Chekc Midway for sales - they often run them and you can get some good prices on the G2 FCG. If you are interested in using the retainer plane, you can sometimes find them on sale for $9.99 Shipping is a little high. .

APEX Gun Parts
When they are in stock, they carry US-made metal floor plates and followers for standard AK magazines (count as 2 compliance parts)

TAPCO
The manufacturer for many of the most commonly used conversion parts -- although their prices are seldom the best. Depending on how many things you are buying, you can save shipping costs. They are one of the only places to carry the Saiga-specific Galil handguard (1 compliance part). They also carry the TAPCO furniture, retainer plate and rubber recoil pad for standard AK stocks.

ACE Ltd
The
source for stocks and receiver blocks. They offer a wide variety of options for installing buttstocks. They aren't cheap, but their products are high quality.

K-Var Corporation
K-Var offers a wide variety of AK parts, many foreign made. They can be a good source for US-made fixed-length buttstocks. Prices can be good - but check around. They do carry pistol grip nuts! They also carry US-made gas pistons.

CDNN Investments
CDNN carries (as of the publishing of this web page!) the Thermold US-made AK magazines. They count as 3 US compliance parts.

Dinzag
Dinzag sells his gear on the Saiga Forum. He offers a variety of Saiga parts, including the bullet guide to allow your rifle to use standard AK mags.
